British private standing in the countryside of Sicily during Operation Husky in 1943. A veteran of the Battle of France, wearing his P40 BDU uniform with standard P37 webbing with Haversack/small pack. Still holding on to his faithful Lee-Enfield No1 Mk III .303 rifle, participated in the North African campaign and subsequently spearhead the landing in Sicily in July 1943.
